Life Needs Frosting

This week's Journal 52 prompt was "Favorite Food."  My choices were a hamburger, french fries, diet coke or cake icing. I was mulling this over when I saw these words printed on a Cinnabon Package I purchased today. I knew right away which food I'd use.  

The background is blue craft paint. The orange layer is a gelli print.  I cut out a cupcake out of card board and covered the bottom with another gelli print. The frosting is white gesso and buff paint mixed together to give the look of buttercream frosting. I made the swirls with thick gesso. I added a layer of iridescent paint on top to give it a bit of a shine.

My friends will tell you this is so very Me.
