Update photo March 11, 2014 |
The background of this page is a mix of two colors blue paint and iridescent paint. Then I embossed the swirls with denim Adirondack EP.
The bird was cut with a Sizzix die out of black embossed paper I bought at Tuesday Morning. I lightly dragged a blue pigment ink pad across the embossed part of bird and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. The ecru lace was cut from an old curtain. The feather I found in the yard of Studio 901 (previously known as the art house) during my visit last weekend. It was my first true spring day of 2014. I was walking Scooter, my dog, in the warm sunshine and we found this feather near the first buttercup of the season.
Love this page Boo, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI think your flower is a daffodil Boo ;)
ReplyDeleteThe bird mind you is fantastic! What a difference using some embossed paper makes! And then you had the great idea of swiping an inkpad over the raised areas. The lace under it is inspired and using the feather, brilliant. Anndd, the background is gorgeous!! :o))
Hey Sugar Bear - fellow southern lady! Your bird is fabulous - full of texture and more texture and I love it!!!! Wow! You can tell your feather is for real - wonder what kind of feather it is. I am going to have to look for chicken feathers in my yard. They are really pretty too. Great art work Boo!
