My art is about the joy of creating and experimenting. The act of creating is more important than the result. The time spent is a form of worship and thanksgiving to my Creator for my gifts and talents.

Back to My Roots
Years ago when I first started making Altered Books, Vintage was my favorite. Vintage ladies, vintage clocks, vintage automobiles. I worked mainly with vintage images. I realized today that I haven't been using many of them recently. I have a collection of rubber stamps with ladies faces. They call to me. Even today, I look at those stamps first in a store.
The Virtues of Women Stamps came on a square block. I took them off the block and I can't remember who made them. If you know who made these stamps, please leave me a comment so I can add it to my post. The four faces here are top row: Just for Fun, middle row, Hampton Arts, bottom row: Tin Can Mail and B-line. They are stamped on a die cut by Sizzix and stamped in Archival Sepia. The background is stencils with Plaid Glaze paint.
It was fun to go back to my roots. I may try clocks next. Nothing better than a clock face.

Hey Boo - your ladies are so pretty. I think you can use them for art journaling too.

These are all just goegeous Boo. I too love vintage images. I haven't used them very much as I don't feel able to do them enough justice to show any efforts in 'public' yet. :D
