Heaven On Earth -- Or Close To It.

The US Gulf Coast in Winter is my favorite place to visit. February weather is usually warm to slightly chilly.  I love nothing better than to sit under a blanket in the warm sunshine, listening to the ocean waves while the breeze blows all around me.  That is as close to heaven on earth as I've ever gotten.  Sometimes I go with crafty friends and we stamp and create with the doors open wide.  It's simply wonderful.

This double page spread in my art journal reminds me of great times at the beach.  I feel closer to God at the beach so this original Boo quote says how I feel when I'm there.

I used two shades of blue craft paint for the ocean.  The seaweed and ocean plants are a stamped with Nature's Print Shop stamps.  The bubbles are Angel Company.  The swirl stamp is by Stampin Up. The fish are from a paper napkin I received in a swap. The grid pattern is done with drywall tape.  I hope you have a peaceful weekend.

  2. This is so rich in colour and texture, and perfect to represent the feel of the ocean. The lucky fish are so good, no wonder they are happy, swimming in those lovely colours.

  3. This is absolutely beautiful! The colors blend so well together and the pink in the fish is the perfect accent to the shades of blue and green.
