Newspaper House
This is my newspaper house for this week's Journal 52 challenge. I began by putting a light coat of gesso on a piece of newspaper. Then I stenciled this Carolyn Dube stencil over it. I used a small journal so the darling steps to this house don't show. You will see it again in all it's glory I'm sure.
I stenciled a few branches using a Club Scrap stencil and then added fall leaves by using the tip of a small stencil brush and craft paint. I added a bit of yellow with my finger so it would appear the lights were on in the house.

I love this Boo. It immediately reminded me of a Christmas image that shows the lights on behind the windows. I also love the gorgeous tree in the background and all its colours. :o))
ReplyDeleteBoo, this is great! I love the newsprint behind the windows.
ReplyDeleteTHis is so original, Boo! I love your vibrant colors. Keep up the good artistic work!
ReplyDeleteHi Boo,
ReplyDeleteI'm finding your blog from your guest post with Julie Balzer. I love houses and this is great. I love how you can see the text in the background.
I definitely see your vision. I love houses and trees! You can use them together or use them alone and they always make wonderful images for one' heart.
