Embrace Silliness
I started this page by using a piece of drywall tape as a stencil and some embossing paste tinted purple. After the paste dried I added bubblegum pink paint. See 1 below. Then I stamped a Hero arts stamp on tissue paper with Adirondack ink and glued it over sections of the embossed areas. See 2 & 3 below. I used a Montana Paint Marker to print the words and a white Signo gel pen to highlight the inside of each letter and traced around the outside edge of the letters with a Pitt Pen. I sketched a bird shape and then cut that shape out of 7 difference Gelli prints. I distressed the edges of the birds with Adirondack ink before using matte medium to attach them. I used a grey Pitt Pen to add a more shadow around the birds and edge of the page. As a final touch I used the edge of a credit card and gesso to make the vertical white lines. I called it Embrace Silliness because the birds were each so different and colorful.
