I have several friends who are into Zentangles. I don't seem to be able to do those intricate things they do. My brain doesn't seem to be able translate what I see to my pen. Instead I do my own brand of doodles.
I think I could fill a whole page of just numbers and letters. Sometimes I just fill a page of different styles of letters. I keep hoping that one day I'll be able to use one of the styles I'm practicing on a journal page.
For now... I'll just doodle away and add a little colored pencil on top of it.
I don't doodle absent mindly, tho' I know many people doodle incessantly whilst chatting on the telephone. But yes, I do love to doodle. I really like your tree in this example and I like the idea of using words & numbers too. What you have done here reminds me a little of the work of Cathy Bluteau. Love it :o)
