My background is not as smooth as Terri's but I am very happy with how it turned out. I decided to make a page that would combine several of the February challenges. I printed the quote from my Pinterest Board on a recycled page from an old paperback book. I use stencil and gesso to make the border on the page. The bird and flowers on the right hand side are from a Get Well card I received after my surgery.

I hope your recovery is going well. Your art journal page is so pretty and I love that you upcycled a card envelope. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #7
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are on your way back to a full recovery. That journal is fantastic and so full of color. I saw Terri's video, too, but I don't own any of those cool pencils. Your journal looks very similar to hers, really. Happy WOYWW from #1.
ReplyDeleteLove your colourful pages! Especially the bird one, it's gorgeous!

I am seeing a lot of these journals on the blogs that I am following and I am in love. I might have to start one myself! Thanks for posting this lovely piece of work.
ReplyDeleteCandy, your writing is so heartfelt. I know a lot of people who doodle or draw around their writing. That would be a great way to start art journaling.
DeleteYou take it easy and don't over do it. As for those journal pages they look amazing, I will have to check out the links for myself I think.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.

I love inktense pencils too. I only have a small set but plan to increase my collection. Thanks for sharing your desk.
ReplyDeleteFabulous pages Boo! I am a big fan of Terri's and really enjoyed her class last year in 21 Secrets. The same effect can be achieved with watersoluble crayons/pastels. The colours you've used are wonderful. terri is a HUGE fan of colour, she'll love this :o))
