My background is not as smooth as Terri's but I am very happy with how it turned out. I decided to make a page that would combine several of the February challenges. I printed the quote from my Pinterest Board on a recycled page from an old paperback book. I use stencil and gesso to make the border on the page. The bird and flowers on the right hand side are from a Get Well card I received after my surgery.
The tag is made from a piece of printed card stock on one side and the envelope from my Get Well Card on the other. I added the tag flap next to the week in my calendar when Scoots had his teeth cleaned. That is his drunk picture. Poor boy took hours to get over the anesthesia. I'm not a big doodler but I did doodle a bit on my calendar page. Over all I had a good time doing four weeks of challenges in a three page spread.

I hope your recovery is going well. Your art journal page is so pretty and I love that you upcycled a card envelope. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #7
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are on your way back to a full recovery. That journal is fantastic and so full of color. I saw Terri's video, too, but I don't own any of those cool pencils. Your journal looks very similar to hers, really. Happy WOYWW from #1.
ReplyDeleteLove your colourful pages! Especially the bird one, it's gorgeous!

I am seeing a lot of these journals on the blogs that I am following and I am in love. I might have to start one myself! Thanks for posting this lovely piece of work.
ReplyDeleteCandy, your writing is so heartfelt. I know a lot of people who doodle or draw around their writing. That would be a great way to start art journaling.
DeleteYou take it easy and don't over do it. As for those journal pages they look amazing, I will have to check out the links for myself I think.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
