This is my taped background page for my Soul Journal class. I finished the background and my muse came to a screeching halt. I had no clue what to do next on this page from four days.
At some point today, I realized it was time to celebrate the changing of the seasons from summer to fall. I love it when leaves turn colors and you can hear the wind rustling through them. I love the cool night and having the windows open. I love to see kids kicking piles of leaves as they walk down the road. I love cool air. I really, really love the cool air.
The background is covered with a combo of masking tape, silver tape and clear duct tape that I laid down in several different directions. I sprayed acrylic paints to tape. Then I stamped leaves with permanent ink in fall colors. I drew the dancing figure and cut it out of copy machine paper. I painted her purple and the stenciled the whirls with black Archival ink. She is adhered with gel medium. The words & leaves are Hero Arts stamps.
Such a happy image - makes me smile.
