Art and the Hardware Store
Homemade Acrylic Spray Paint - Mix acrylic paint and a little water in a spray bottle.. Easy peasy. I used Yellow and Green homemade spray paint for the background with a couple of hits of hot pink. My bottle was empty so that's all I got of the pink. White circles were made with gesso and a medicine bottle.
Paper Dry Wall Tape with round holes.... wooo hooo. I had to order it online from Lowes because they don't have it in the store here. This tape is self adhesive. I used the liner as a stencil to get extra dots
Spackle Compound for the stenciled flowers. I've had that stuff for at least 7 years. It was totally dried out so I thought what the heck..& I added water to it. It was a bit runny at first but it finally absorbed the liquid. I mixed it with acrylic paint and used it with my stencil. I let it dry over night before I tried to paint it.
I've always had a fondness for the hardware store... finally I have a use for some of the cool stuff they have. The Lowe's guy did not even laugh at me when I told him I wanted the Dry Wall tape for my art. Points for him!!
