So Fun I Didn't Want it to End.

I enjoyed working on this page so much that I was disappointed when it was finished.  I didn't want to stop.

The rays from the lighthouse are a Tim's Holtz embossing folder that I trimmed into rays. The foliage is a  huge fern leaf stencil.  The houses & roofs are made from a test sheet for my new found stencil and an ad for flip flops that was in the newspaper.  It was so fun to use the flip flops in a totally unexpected way.  For me, flip flops and the beach houses go hand in hand so it was not much of  a stretch.  The background was made by layering several colors of craft paint using a credit card.  I really like how I was able to achieve the look of a storm gathering using the colors and the credit card.  My new favorite way to apply gel medium is the my catalyst tool.  The brush part is rubber and nothing sticks to it.  It made glues the rays a breeze.   Sure wish I was sitting at the beach right now.
