Being Me with Backgrounds and Color

The top page was done with part of the background I made in my Use Your Words class (there is a badge for this class on the right below.)  Silhouettes have been calling me recently.  I found the dancer on the web and I just love how her arms are thrown out in abandon.

This page is my first attempt with melting crayons to make a background.  It takes patience and I'm often short on that.  I found that I really need a way to prop up the paper at an angle in order to get it to drip the way I want.  Hummm, maybe I can get my dad to make me a little easel out of wood scraps.

  1. The silhouette with the background is perfect- there is such energy and movement in them! Love the crayon effect too!
