I can't draw? Have you tried?

I am very pleased with this page in my art journal.  I've always wanted to be able to draw.  I thought it would be so soothing to sit down with a pencil and paper & have images appear.  Until today, my recognizable doodles consisted of a basic tree, a pumpkin and a house.  

Today, I googled... how to draw an eye.  DragonArt is the site I ended up on for about an hour.  The eyes above are the results of my effort.  I would not have believed that I'd ever be able to draw anything that looked like a real eye.   I found the quote on Facebook.  Sorry I don't remember which site.  If I find it I'll add it later.

When my mind believed I could draw an eye, I drew an eye.  I'm going to continue to believe I can.
