It's been a while since I've blogged. I had the dreaded flu. It put a real damper on my Christmas Day celebration as well as my vacation that I spent in bed instead visiting the Art House where I had planned to learn more about painting with watercolors. I am back and healthy now and happy to be in blog-land again.
I'm celebrating and hope you'll join me. Art Journal Kickstarter has been published and is shipping. I have an art journal page in this is the book. I still can't believe I've been published.

Are you thinking... "this will never happen to me?" I thought the same thing. Then I decided to take a chance. I sent my artwork to a publisher. I stuck my neck out and guess what someone liked my work enough to include it in a book.
I've sent it to other publications and was told my work wasn't what they were looking for. That's OK too. I am just going to keep creating what makes me happy. If others like it that's great. The creating is for me and I hope you create for you. Other people liking my work is icing on the cake.
I'm also celebrating that I've had almost 30,000 view on my blog. It boggles my mind that so many people have read my blog and viewed my art work. I am honored and humbled that you take time to look at my art work. Thank you so much.
I'm having a Give Away to celebrate all the great things that are happening to me in blog-land. I'll be giving away a Mr. Huey Stencil and I'll also add a mixed media surprise too.

Delete(Ok Let's try this again.) Boo, I am so proud of you for being published. It's no wonder that they chose to publish your page, it is absolutely fabulous, and my favorite color!!! I am so excited to see that you are doing the giveaway of the Mister Huey stencil. It reminds me of the bars on my husband's Marine Corp uniform. I am happy dancing around the room with my fingers and toes crossed for luck. Once again, congratulations Boo, I am so proud of you! Hugs, Pamikins (Pam Robinson)

That is so awesome, Boo! I think you are so brave to submit your work, and so glad that your bravery was rewarded! (I think I would like to be brave also!) I love that page so much! I still have my joker napkin and am waiting for the perfect idea to hit so that I can use him! I laughed when I read Tracy's story about Mushu picking the winner...if I tried to do that with Fusco, he would just eat the papers along with the biscuits! Scoots is so cute!
ReplyDeleteAgain congratulations on being published. I am going to get this book as soon as i can. I love the spread you did in the book. Good luck with book sales.
