Selfie

I'm participating in several challenges this year.  I was able to combine two in this project. The Documented Life challenge was to use a Selfie. This is out of my comfort zone. I prefer not to have pages with my face in them. That being said, I think me in the witches hat is so fun.  I decided that it needed to be about me not just my photo.  I used quotes that really speak to me. I found all three on facebook. These three quotes are very, very me. They are all part of my philosophy of life.

The Creative JumpStart  theme is using household items in your art. The back ground of this piece is on the left. I created the background using acrylic craft paint, a piece of burlap ribbon, a rug mat (that stuff that keeps your rugs from slipping), a peanut butter lid, a glue stick lid and a credit card blank.  I love the marks and texture I got.  The cool thing about mark making is that if you need a pop of color some where all you have to do is add a mark here and there.

  1. Wonderful stuff Boo! I wouldn't do the selfie page at all cos I don't do pics of me full stop. I haven't had a picture taken in nine years *shudder*. Your mark making ideas are fab and the quotes are perfect for everyone. Maya Angelou is one of my most favourite people ever.
    Happy Wednesday :o)

I love your selfie and those quotes are great.
Like Twinkle Toes I'm not happy being in front of the camera...I'd much prefer being behind the lens.
    Have a wonderful weekend xoxo
