My art is about the joy of creating and experimenting. The act of creating is more important than the result. The time spent is a form of worship and thanksgiving to my Creator for my gifts and talents.

Geller? Is that What You Call a Person Who Makes Gelli Print?
Like any Gelli Plate owner, I have a lot of Gelli Prints. I have been wanting to do some fun girls and these Gelli prints gave me the perfect opportunity. The back ground on the left is a Gelli Print. I added a little stamping to added texture. The background on the right is paint. Two shades of purple and some hot pink. I used my new stamp to get that cool texture on the back ground. The inclusion is also covered with a Gelli Print.
Two of the girls started out as a print of crown. I bought a kid's crown made of craft foam at the $Tree and when printed they reminded me of people. I cut and trimmed them until I liked their shape. I continue to work on faces. Someday mine will look like real people. Until then.. characters will have to do.
So, the question is: What do you call a person who makes Gelli Prints? A Geller? Gartist? Grinter? One of the odd questions running around in my head. LOL.

A Gelli baby!
ReplyDelete...or Gelli girl ;)
ReplyDeleteFun. And I'm nominating Gelli Belli.
ReplyDeletegellist sounds right to me. But I don't even know what the gelli prints are! Need to do some research there. Like your triangle lady on the right - she looks very happy! {:-Deb
ReplyDeletea Gellist! Lynn nailed it!
ReplyDeleteAwesome gelli prints Boo (popped in from the APR). I think all the nominations are pretty cool, and as there isn't an official title, I think you should choose your own to suit your mood. You could be a gelli baby one day a gellist another (if you're doing something classical perhaps, lol), and a gelli belli if you're feeling 'silly', lol :0) Mo
ReplyDeleteWhat a lot of fun Boo or should that be GelliBoo?
ReplyDeleteI've missed APR so much but I hope to be back soon :D
These girls are such fun! They capture the spirit of the Gelli Plate so well! So glad you shared this with the party!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed looking around your blog this evening. You do such a variety of techniques. Such fun! They could be GerlyGellers??? Happy PPF & The Artist Playroom.
