My art is about the joy of creating and experimenting. The act of creating is more important than the result. The time spent is a form of worship and thanksgiving to my Creator for my gifts and talents.

Thanksgiving Doodles add to My Memories
I wanted to save my doodles from the weekend and I ended up doing a "kind of" memory page in my altered book. My dad is 89 years old and I wanted to remember the things we did together. He fixed my little table. I was the assistant... I got to hold a piece of wood while he put on a clamp. He cooked me spaghetti and he was happy for me to go shopping without him. I had to use the dog prints since Scooter shopped in Michael's with me. :)
This is the closest as I will ever get to scrapbooking because I don't like all the Scrapbook rules. Also in 50 years I don't think anyone is going to care what I did Thanksgiving 2012. I had a really great weekend. I was not too happy with my doodles when I did them but two days later... they are not so bad.
I also left abandoned three Thanksgiving ATCs: one in a BP station, one at JoAnn's and one at Michael's. I hope they gave someone a smile or a moment of cheer during the weekend.

I love the memory page idea! Finding an abandoned ATC would make my day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to leave your ATC's around for folks! That is a great gift! Love how you are creating everyday. I try to. I need to pull out the doodle pens and get to Zentangling again! It is relaxing...
